Thank you Ashby for guiding me through this.”

"As You Know There's a lot of scales in Slonimsky, and his work was profound on John Coltrane and a lot artist in the 20th century but your work exploring the systemic implications of it is a definite advancement, no question."
"I've followed Ashby's lead and have been writing stuff based on this scale system"

The Nine Tone System Of Harmony
Following his constant drive for innovation, Ashby developed his own method for music composition based on "Nine Tones" as a resource for his compositions. It was a necessary step in order for him to compose and navigate his ideas freely between all scale systems. What he found was an entirely new order of chord, scale patterns, and properties that were previously undocumented. Since his discovery, he has continued to find and document the phenomena in all his compositions through the Universal Chord Method For Tonal Navigation and the Diminished Augmented System of Harmony and Scales along with many approaches to create music and form in his compositions.
MOTUS Advanced Music Theory Portal
In order to get this information out to as many musicians as possible, Ashby created the MOTUS Advanced Music Theory Portal. In this digital resource, Ashby gives you his personal method for music composition which is based on a "Nine Tone Matrix" that is not taught in any college or university. "The Portal", as Ashby calls it, "allows me to continually update my information as I discover new aspects of this system-while making it available to composers like me all over the world. It can be accessed on all devices like a mobile phone, pad, laptop or desktop, and avoids musicians having to lug around 200-page books, CDs or DVDs in order to access my information. Unlike an app, it can be updated daily and all media such as video, audio, scores and comprehension exercises are available anywhere you have an internet connection."
